In late 1999, Terry was working with his father, George, the owner of Coho Vineyards Winery. Ellen pursued a hectic career in real estate. Everything changed when a trip to France and a chance meeting with a Loire Valley winery owner, Etienne Jacques, inspired us to create The Restaurant at Coho Winery.

Founded in 2001, The Restaurant at Coho Winery has received national recognition for the outstanding quality of its cuisine, ambience and service. We use only the finest ingredients: herbs picked fresh daily from the Coho Winery estate, organic produce and meats purchased from neighboring farms, and seafood straight from the ocean fishermen. Nothing is more exciting to us than the perfect marriage of artfully prepared food and thoughtfully suggested wine. Our wine cellar holds over 400 different varieties which rotate with the seasons to complement the menu.

Many of our favorite recipes are inspired by Etienne’s family traditions and dishes which he so generously shares with us when we visit him each year. Come with us next summer and experience for yourself the land which grows some of the finest grapes in the world. Our tour will visit our inspiration winery, as well as six other nearby wineries.

The Restaurant at Coho Winery occupies what was once the farm house of the Coho estate. Coho Vineyards Winery has been a family-run business for nearly 100 years. Terry’s great, great grandfather chose the location for the homestead because of its scenic vistas and serene beauty. When we saw Etienne’s vineyard it suddenly clicked – the farmhouse would be the perfect setting to bring the romance of the French countryside home to you.

When you enter The Restaurant, you’ll be shown into an intimate and comfortably appointed dining area. The floor-to-ceiling tapestries, intimate seating, and panoramic nighttime views of the city skyline glittering in the distance create an otherworldly atmosphere. You are transported away from the cares of the day without losing the feeling of home.
